A Message from Tammy
Memories are timeless treasures of the heart...This is this year’s theme for the Blue Suede Music Festival raffle quilt, in memory of my mom, Sharon Stromberg. I can not put into words of how much joy this festival brought to her, and the fondest memories of her for me. She sat and watched every performer, and was amazed at the talent each one of them brought to the stage. Mom made lasting friendships with many, and always looked forward to seeing everyone again each year. Even in her final days she talked about the festival, and I made a promise to her to make another quilt. The result of that was a bigger and better quilt! Every stitch made and every photo added brought back so many thoughts of her, and for me that's a feeling that warms and heals my broken heart. This year’s money raised will be donated to the Ripple Connection in Barrhead, and the Food Banks in Westlock, Barrhead, and Mornville all in memory of a wonderful women. It means the world to me to all that have supported my raffle and I look forward to presenting this quilt to that special winner!
Tammy also sent close up photos showing five ETAs featured on the quilt: (left to right, both rows) Adam Fitzpatrick, Paul Ellis, Roger Anderson, Ronnie Scott, and Tyler Cody, who was featured in SIDEBURNS Magazine in November, 2017. If you are interested in learning more about this talent young ETA, his bio can be found on SIDEBURNS Magazine’s website under Focus On: Tyler Cody. (Edits by C.M.)
The detailing on the quilt is amazing! Best of luck with ticket sales, Tammy.
