Greetings
Not much writing with this post. I just wanted to share some photos I took at the 2019 Collingwood Elvis Festival. For most of Friday and Saturday, I was in the media room at the Eddie Bush Arena interviewing ETAs and others, so I missed much of the competition. While I was indoors, Lori-Anne covered the outdoor stage and snapped hundreds of professional photos that will be posted after she edits and processes them. In future posts, I will add names*; but for now, please enjoy the slide show. Cheers! Carolyn.
*A list of the competitors who made it through the first round has been added to the end of this article.

Time to leave for Sunday’s event…more photos will follow.
Update: July 25, 2020
It has been over year since the 25th Collingwood Elvis Festival; and although I only attended in 2018 and 2019, the impression the festival made on me will last a lifetime. I can only imagine the loss that those who had attended the world class festival year after year must be feeling. Hopes seemed to be high last year that outside interests would continue the festival; but as revealed in a previous post, this is proving more difficult than anticipated. And then there’s CoVid 19. Not only are we missing the festival, we are missing wonderful private shows featuring the ETAs we saw perform and compete in Collingwood. We are very grateful to the many ETAs who posted live podcasts on Facebook during the darkest months; and as of today’s date, other favourite festivals are still scheduled for later this year.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the updated slide show of my photos featuring some very special fellows that attended the Silver Anniversary year of the Collingwood Elvis Festival. I will sign off with a hope that the Festival that put Collingwood on the map will be resurrected in 2021. Cheers! C.M.
